The family of the woman, seen in the alleged video with Karnataka BJP leader Ramesh Jarkiholi, has alleged that her daughter has been kidnapped. According to the report of The News Minute, the woman’s father has lodged a complaint at the Belagavi police station about the kidnapping of the daughter. The father alleges that his daughter has been kidnapped from Bengaluru, and her life is also in danger.
The police has registered a case under different sections of the IPC. According to the police, the father has stated in his complaint that his daughter was kidnapped on March 2, and on this day he spoke to his daughter for the last time. On March 2, the alleged CD was revealed.
According to the report, the father said, “She told us that she was not in the video. My daughter told her mother that a girl who looked like her was shown in the video.”
The woman had asked for security from the state government
On March 2, Kannada news channels allegedly played a video of Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi with a woman. After this, he had to resign from the ministerial seat. In this case, a social activist named Dinesh Kallahalli had filed a complaint, but he withdrew the complaint only a few days later.
Jarkiholi denied the allegations leveled against him and filed a case of conspiracy and blackmail against some unknown people.
About 10 days after the video surfaced, the woman demanded her protection from the state government. According to the news report, the woman had asked Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai to give her protection.
The SIT probing the case issued a notice to the woman and assured them of security from the police.
