The firing by Pakistani snipers in the Mendhar sector of Rajouri on the LoC has killed a BSF officer. This is not the first time that sniper firing on LoC has disturbed the army, but it has lost more than 140 soldiers in sniper fire till now 17 years after the ceasefire.
Officials said Pak snipers fired bullets at sniper in Tarkundi, Mendhar early today, causing BSF’s 59th battalion sub-inspector P Jatha to die immediately on the spot.
According to the received news, after this incident fierce fire started in both sides in which tremendous damage was done to Pak Army.
By the way, P Jatha is not the first soldier to be martyred with sniper fire on LOC. Rather, more than 140 soldiers and officers have been martyred during the 17-year ceasefire period. In the first week of September, two soldiers died of sniper shot on the LoC. Whereas after June this year, the army has lost 32 soldiers on the LoC.
Actually behind these mysterious firing incidents are the Pak Army shooters who are targeting Indian soldiers with sniper rifles. This has been objected by the Indian side in the flag meetings many times but each time the Pak Army has denied any such firing incident.
As a result, the mysterious firing behind which, according to the Indian side, is sure to be troubled by the Pak Army and its militant puppets who have taken refuge at the Pak border posts across the border. In such a situation, the army has only one way to deal with such mysterious firing incidents and the increasing pressure of infiltration and that the ceasefire on the LoC is ended.
According to an army officer, the ceasefire has given the Pak Army an opportunity to strengthen its positions and carry out the infiltration effectively.’
In 2003, when a ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries, peace remained on the LoC and the International Border for some time, because the mysterious firing from Pakistan started killing the Indian soldiers.
Then when information came out about it, they were shocked that behind such mysterious shootings i.e. sniper shots were the trained commanders of Pak army as well as the terrorists whom the Pakistani army was imparting such training.
