5 hostel workers and 40 students of a hostel in Latur town of Marathwada region in Maharashtra have been found corona infected.
District Health Officer of Latur, Dr. Laxman Deshmukh informed that the Coronavirus test of more than 300 students and staff living in the hostel was conducted on Tuesday, which reported 40 students and 5 employees were found corona infected.
Deshmukh said that all the infected students and employees have been quarantined at the Covid Center on Barshi Road. The area has been declared as a Containment Area and nearby schools have been closed as a precautionary measure.
The infected students belong to class 9th and 10th. The hostel complex employs 60 teachers and non-teaching staff, of which 30 have been screened.
