Counting of votes will take place at the counting center set up in Basilios College Auditorium. The trend in the constituency will become clear as soon as the first round is counted. The arrangements are such that results can be known within hours.
Postal votes and service votes are counted first. The votes in booths 1 to 182 will be counted in consecutive order. In the first round, the votes in booths one to fourteen will be counted. Then from fifteen to 28. In this way the counting of votes in the voting machine will be completed in 13 rounds. 32 CAPF for security of counting centre. Members are appointed. A 12-member armed police battalion will also be there for the security of the counting station.
The UDF states that Oommen Chandy will have a huge victory with a huge majority in the Pudupally by-election after the demise of Oommen Chandy. 72.86 percent polling was recorded in the by-election to Pudupally assembly constituency. Out of 1,76,412 voters, 1,28,535 exercised their right of consent. 64,078 out of 86,131 men, 64,455 out of 90,277 women and two out of four transgenders cast their votes. Before polling day, 2491 absentee voters (above 80 years, differently abled) cast their vote through postal ballot.
