East Central Railway Public Relations Officer Birendra Kumar said that the train left Patna at 8 am and reached Howrah at 2.30 pm. The train covered a distance of 535 km in about 6 hours and 30 minutes. The train had stops at Jasidih and Asansol stations. The return journey left Howrah at 3.55 pm and reached Patna Junction around 10.35 pm,’ he said.
Railway sources also informed that the train service on Patna – Howrah route will start this month itself. Ticket price and other details are prepared. Railways said that the information regarding this will be released soon. Expect Rs 2,650 for AC executive class and Rs 1,450 for AC chair car in the train.
More Vande Bharat trains are expected to operate in the country in the month of August. All four Vande Bharats received by Southern Railway are ready for service. Bengaluru – Hyderabad Vande Bharat, Chennai – Tirunelveli Vande Bharat etc. have also been completed.
