Maharashtra | The graph of Coronavirus infection in the country is now continuously falling, but the death toll remains a matter of concern. According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health, 84,332 new corona cases came in the last 24 hours and 4002 infected people have lost their lives.
At the same time, 1 lakh 21 thousand 311 people have also been cured of the corona. That is, 40,981 active cases were reduced on the last day. Earlier on April 1, 81,466 cases were registered.
Death toll peaks in Maharashtra
More than 2,000 people lost their lives in Maharashtra due to Covid-19 infection during the last 24 hours, which has now raised concerns during the weakening of the second wave of the pandemic.
Health officials said on Friday that the daily death toll due to infection has reached a new peak. More than 11,000 new corona cases have been registered in the state for the second consecutive day.
Against the 1,915 deaths announced on Thursday, the state has now reported 2,619 deaths (including 406 new and 2,213 earlier deaths), taking the total number of people who lost their lives due to the infection in the state to 106,367.
However, the number of fresh cases fell to 11,766 from 12,207 on Thursday, taking the total number of infection cases to 58,87,853.
Here the number of active cases has increased from 160,693 to 161,704. Here 8,104 patients returned home after full recovery. So far a total of 56,16,857 people have been cured here. However, the recovery rate has come down from 95.45 percent to 95.04 percent.
The death rate from corona in the country is 1.24 percent while the recovery rate has exceeded 95 percent. Active cases have come down to less than 4 percent.
