The Central Meteorological Department has informed that moderate rain is likely at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala in the coming hours.

Today there is yellow alert in Alappuzha and Kottayam districts.
Tomorrow 02.09.2023 : Yellow alert has been declared in Idukki district and on Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Yellow alert has been announced in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Idukki districts on Monday and in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha districts on Tuesday. Chance of isolated heavy rain is predicted. Heavy rains mean rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
Fishermen cautioned
The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there will be no disruption to fishing in Kerala-Karnataka coast and Lakshadweep area.
Special warning
From 01-09-2023 to 04-09-2023: Chance of strong winds and bad weather over South Tamilnadu coast, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Kanyakumari coast with a speed of 40 to 45 kmph and occasional up to 55 kmph.
From 02-09-2023 to 04-09-2023: Strong wind speed of 45 to 55 kmph and occasional up to 65 kmph is likely over South East Bay of Bengal.
02-09-2023 to 05-09-2023 over Sri Lanka Coast and 03-09-2023 over South West Bay of Bengal and 04-09-2023 to 05-09-2023 over South Bay of Bengal at 45 to 55 kmph at occasional intervals. Strong wind speed up to 65 kmph is possible.
