But for the Bihar elections, a statement has emerged from the BJP, which has been in power at the center, on which discussion and ruckus have started. In fact, the BJP released its manifesto for the Bihar elections, which they called the resolution letter, promising to give the corona vaccine to every Bihari for free with all the promises.
This manifesto of BJP was released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with other leaders. But what has been said about the corona vaccine is now raising questions from all sides, people are asking whether the vaccine is coming only for the people of Bihar? Opposition leaders have raised some similar questions.
But first let you hear what the BJP has promised about the vaccine and what Nirmala Sitharaman said in the press conference.
The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “There are three vaccines in India which are on their final stage and have come to the verge of production. After that if the scientific people say that they are fine and can produce now, then the production will be on a large scale from our government. Vaccine production in our country will be at that level, which will provide free vaccine for every person in Bihar. This is the first promise of our manifesto. We want to assure the people of Bihar.”
Tharoor said- Will the Election Commission take action?
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has also quipped on BJP’s election promise. He also said on Twitter whether the Election Commission will take any action against this statement of the Finance Minister and against the party or not.
Sashi Tharoor wrote, “You vote me, I give you the vaccine… what appalling cynicism! Will the Election Commission rap her & her shameless Govt on the knuckles?
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala also attacked the BJP over the promise of vaccine. He said that the people of Bihar have found the vaccine to save the state. Surjewala wrote, “The Modi government has not found a corona vaccine, but the people of Bihar have … definitely found a ‘vaccine’ to save Bihar. JDU-BJP Bhagao, bring the Grand Alliance government.”
The ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi also questioned the BJP’s promise. The party tweeted through its Twitter handle, writing, “In such a situation what will happen to non-BJP ruled states? Those who will not vote for the Indian BJP will not get the Corona vaccine free?”
Akhilesh said – opportunistic politics
Samajwadi Party President and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has also described BJP as opportunistic.
Akhilesh said on Twitter, “Today, the ruling BJP of the country is saying in its manifesto of Bihar that it will get the corona vaccine free for the people of Bihar. Why such a declaration was not made for UP and other states. The people of Uttar Pradesh and the country will respond to such opportunistic narrow politics to the BJP in the upcoming elections.”
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah also surrounded the BJP on the vaccine issue. He said that BJP is paying the vaccine money for Bihar from its party fund? But if it is coming from the treasury of the government, then how will Bihar get the vaccine for free and the rest of the country will have to pay for it? It is shameful that Corona’s fear is being used for populist promises.
BJP IT Cell Chief’s ‘ Damage Control ‘
Now that the BJP is being surrounded and criticized on this matter from all four sides, Amit Malviya, Chief of BJP IT Cell, has given clarification while trying to control the damage. Amit Malviya wrote on Twitter that like every program, the Central Government will give the Corona vaccine to the states at a fixed price. Now it is the decision of the state governments whether they give it free or not. Health is a matter of state, Bihar BJP has decided that it will give vaccine free in Bihar, simple.
