It helps them in meeting their needs by making them financially capable at this stage of life and in situations like emergency. Generally, after retirement, pensioners have to submit their life certificate to the authorized pension disbursing agency like bank, post office, only after which they are given pension.
For life certificate, the pensioner has to be present in person at the authorized pension disbursing agency or has to provide the life certificate issued by the authority of the office in which he worked to the disbursing agency. ButThose pensioners who have become very old and are also physically weak. In such a situation, they cannot appear personally before the certification authority for the life certificate.Apart from this, people who start living with their families after retirement. Since pension is issued, it is necessary to submit life certificate.To help such people, the facility to obtain life certificate at home has been made available. Life Certificate Online: You can get Digital Life Certificate online in two ways – Aadhaar and Face Authentication.
Get digital life certificate through face authentication through app
First of all you have to download ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ app on your smartphone.
Then you have to fill your personal details in the Jeevan Pramaan app including your Aadhaar (UID) number, mobile number, email ID and more and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
After this you will receive a one-time password (OTP) on both your mobile number and email ID.
You submit OTP to verify your identity.
After this, enter your name and select the scan option when prompted.
The app will then request permission for a face scan, which you can grant to complete the process.
Click ‘Yes’ to continue the process.
Now, click on the ‘I am aware’ button to proceed with the scanning. After this the app will scan and record the photo.
After completion of the process, the screen will show the proof of submission along with ID and PPO number.
How to submit life certificate through Aadhaar
First of all, the pensioner can download an application to generate Digital Life Certificate from jeevanpramaan.gov.in on any smartphone or Windows personal computer.
After this, biometric authentication will have to be done by giving Aadhaar number and other details related to your pension bank account.
If pensioners wish, they can also go to the nearest common service centre, bank branch or any government office for biometric authentication or can purchase a low cost fingerprint scanner/Iris scanner from the market themselves.
If the pensioner is already enrolled on the system, he or she will just need to provide his or her Aadhaar number to authenticate his or her biometrics to update the date of his or her Digital Life Certificate.
After successful submission of Digital Life Certificate, SMS of Transaction ID will be sent to the pensioner on his/her mobile. If pensioners wish, they can use this transaction ID to download the life certificate for their records by visiting www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in website.
