Vande Bharat stopped at Patna Saheb, Lakhisarai, Jasidih, Jamtara and Asansol stations in the second trial run. In the first test run, the train stopped only at Jasidih and Asansol stops. The train left Howrah at 3:55 and reached Patna Junction around 10:35 pm. East Central Railway CPRO Birendra Kumar said that the trial run was completed as per railway schedule.
Train service on Patna – Howrah route will start in August itself. Eight coaches run on this route. The ticket price and other details are yet to be decided. Expect Rs 2650 for AC executive class and Rs 1450 for AC chair car.
This is the second Vandebharat Express for Bihar. Vandebharat train started on Patna – Ranchi route on June 27. Prime Minister Modi flagged off the service. Railway sources also informed that the train service on Patna – Howrah route will start this month itself.
More Vande Bharat trains are expected to start service by the end of August. The four Vande Bharats received by Southern Railway may also be released along with this.
