A young Israeli woman got the worst surprise of her life when she entered the social network Facebook and saw a video in which her grandmother’s body appeared.who was murdered by a Hamas terrorist in her own home.
Mor Bayder, who told her dramatic story, said the video showed her grandmother “lying there” with the floor covered in blood, Israel’s Channel 13 reported.
“I saw the worst thing you can imagine,” she said through tears, adding that ““My grandmother, in her house, being murdered on video.”
Bayder said he believed a militant took his grandmother’s cell phone, filmed with it and uploaded the footage to his Facebook profile.
Likewise, in a Facebook post, Bayder described the “brutal murder” as his worst nightmare: “Those who know me, know what she is to me and the connection we had.”
For his part, Bayder’s cousin, Yoav Shimoni, in statements offered to CNN, corroborated the tragic story.
“My sister commented in our group chat that there is a strange video on my grandmother’s Facebook”, said. “That’s when we all found out.”
Shimoni added that the family believes Hamas militants broke into their grandmother’s house after breaching the Gaza fence, which is less than a mile from Kibbutz Nir Oz where she lived.
“I guess she was the first point of contact where the terrorists infiltrated.”said.
Nir Oz is one of the communities near the Gaza border that was the target of a series of surprise attacks by Hamas on Saturday, and several people have been reported missing, including a 74-year-old woman, Insider reported.
Israeli officials say Hamas fighters have captured hundreds of hostageswho believe they were taken captive to Gaza.
This Tuesday, the Israeli army reported that it took control of a border area with the Gaza Strip, managing to stop the invasion of Hamas militants into its territory.
