After ending his contract with Real Madrid this summer and spending four months without a club, Eden Hazard decided to end his football career at the age of 32. This was announced by the Belgian himself through his official Instagram account this Tuesday.
“You have to know how to say enough at the right moment”, Hazard began his text to say goodbye as a professional footballer. “After 16 years of career and more than 700 games played, I have decided to end my professional football career. “I made my dream come true, to play and have fun on courses all over Europe and the world,” he continued.
Furthermore, the Belgian attacker took the opportunity to thank the clubs he played for and all the teammates he made during his career. “I have met great people, managers, coaches, teammates and I especially wanted to thank the clubs I passed through: LOSC, Chelsea and Real Madrid. Eden Hazard’s career
Hazard began his professional career in 2005 in the youth ranks of the French club Lille. In 2008 he made his debut with the first team and in 147 games in the first division he scored 36 goals and distributed 41 assists. This performance earned Chelsea $37 million for his transfer in 2012.
