This is the penultimate Wednesday of Star Wars What the first season leaves us with Ahsokaon Disney+. The series of Dave Filoni It glimpses its end with its seventh episode.
Dreams and madness is the title of a chapter that will leave everything ready for the final culmination that we will have next week on the Casa del Ratón streaming platform.
At the head of the episode we find Geeta Vasant Patelm who has directed episodes in series like the dragon house, Santa Clarita Diet either Superstoreto name a few.
Today, at Hobby Consolas, we bring you the review of the seventh episode of Ahsokawhich is now available in Disney+ so you can see it as many times as you want.
Remember that I will not go into spoilers for the episode until I indicate otherwise, but I will speak freely about what happened in previous chapters of the series.
All roads lead to Peridea
After what Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) had a merely testimonial presence in the sixth episode of the series, which for her was a transition between galaxies, the protagonist recovers her role in this seventh episode.
Dreams and madness will distribute your 45 minutes —about 39 if we remove summaries and credits— among all the characters who have enjoyed prominence in the series, although in some cases it may seem scarce.
This can make us feel like not much is happening in this episode of the series. Star Warsbut, in reality, progress does occur, even behind the scenes.
AND We’re going to have a nice surprise before the opening titlesbut we’ll let you discover it during the viewing.
Fast-paced and functional
Although episode 7 of AhsokaIt takes some quiet moments, in general it is an episode that jumps between action scenes. It leaves us with that flavor of movies like The Empire Strikes Back either return of the jediwhere the heroes are separated, but fight with a common goal.
Although there are those who complain about the live-action iteration of Thrawn, Lars Mikkelsen demonstrates his ability to play the devious imperial officer with the same skill that he gave to his voice in Star Wars Rebels.
The series will take us by the hand to what should be a turning point prior to the final episode, although it is true that, in part, It is not a cliffhanger that leaves us in suspense.
Dreams and madness does not leave us with more interest than its predecessor, although it has almost all of its plots open. It is possible that a more suggestive closing would have worked better in the face of the hype train. However, it is appreciated that the uncertainty about what will happen next week remains intact at this point.
ATTENTION: from this point I will begin to develop episode 7 of Ahsoka with spoilers. If you haven’t watched the chapter yet, I recommend that you do so before continuing reading.
What’s coming now?
We are going to start the episode with a new installment of the verbal confrontation between Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Senator Hamato Xiono (Nelson Lee) which, in fact, could be summed up with a “Uhhh: in front of your friends“by the general.
In addition to the well-known criticism of how the New Republic quickly fell into the same trap as the old one, the scene leaves us with that brief cameo of C-3PO that, although it is not Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian, always feels good. However, it is still a simple resolution, to a certain extent, for a conflict that has been brewing since episode 3.
It will be necessary to see if the influence of leiaIt provokes some reaction in the New Republic, because it is not surprising that its existence would be in danger in less than 30 years with how confused the senators are and how handcuffed the chancellor is.
Already in Perideathe action develops quite fluidly, but not before another wink to The Clone Wars with that recording of Anakin Skywalker. Hayden Christensen He still had another appearance up his sleeve, although this one less epic.
The entire section of the minefield, without being the opera, is pure Star Wars, even the highly tense discussions between Ahsoka and Huyang(David Tennant).
On the surface of the planet, we have the orcs on the back of their wargs harassing the refugees of Rohan. Sorry, we are not in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) chase Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), who travel with the notice.
It is important to highlight that Baylan decides to follow a different path from that of his apprentice, and it seems that it is something that he was more than clear about. From the beginning, the personalities of both have been clearly differentiated: Shin is more in line with the sith with his tendency to resort to passionate hatred; Baylan walks between both extremes of the Force.
If Ray Stevenson’s character surprises us in the final episode, it would be very beneficial for Ahsoka. The series has kept Baylan Skoll a mystery from the beginning and it would be a shame not to know more about his plans. His apprentice has already shown that he is not so brave without reinforcements.
The battle itself is not a big deal, but it is not something we should expect either. If you think you will see a large battle in Ahsoka, you’ve probably got the wrong series. Maybe, and this is a lot of guessing, we’ll see something in the final episode, but I wouldn’t even bet on it.
I don’t mean that in a negative connotation. In Peridea there are those who are. We could witness something similar to the land battle of Endor, but not its equal in space.
By the way, for many red Nightsister bandages and kintsugi-repaired armor, stormtroopers are still cannon fodder. There are things that do not change.
It is in conversations where AhsokaIt gives us a glimpse of what seems to be going to happen. Thrawn is, above all, a strategist who is always two steps ahead of his rivals. He is the villain’s greatest quality and where he should shine.
The plan of Morgan Elsbeth and from the imperial leaders it has always been clear: bring back Thrawn as heir to the Empire. Everything that happens during the episode, except the betrayal? of Baylan Skoll, is part of his plans so that Ahsoka and company waste your time. It would be nice, however, if the final episode explained why they need so much time to start the return journey.
Back to Baylan: he gives up pursuing Ahsoka after their duel and instead takes another path, but which one? I insist: Ray Stevenson’s character is an enigma, which can be good or bad.
As I say above, Dreams and madness ends without a cliffhanger that leaves us biting our nails until next Wednesday. We have several open plots that can give play, but that “I think I’m finally going to come home” by Ezra, is not the best way to close a penultimate episode.
I think that, although Ahsokais going to leave us with some spectacular moments next week, the series is simply going to leave us with Thrawn’s return to the galaxy. It will be a draw if Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren bring back Ezra Bridger, so the season won’t end with a loss.
That’s my take on episode eight. With Baylan I am no longer taking any risks, that former Jedi can come out anywhere and, in fact, it is what generates the most interest in me at this moment, because it is the unknown to be resolved in the series that many of us did not expect.
One more week, consolega, and we will have the end of Ahsoka. Will the last episode of the series manage to surprise us? Star Wars on Disney+?
