West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that when she was near her car in Nandigram, some people pushed her, due to which her leg got hurt. She said that now she is coming back to Kolkata with injured legs. Mamta also says that when this incident happened to her, there was no local policeman present at that place.
Mamata Banerjee said, “4-5 people stopped the car completely. There was a lot of injury … there was no one from the local police. There is definitely a conspiracy. This has been done intentionally.”
Mamta Vs Suvendu in Nandigram
In Nandigram, Mamata Banerjee faces her old colleague and current BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday called Mamata Banerjee an outsider for Nandigram. Nandigram is the high-profile seat of East Midnapore, from where both the veteran leaders of the state will strike. The officer had won the election from here on the Trinamool ticket in the 2016 election. He joined BJP in December last year.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Banerjee filed her nomination as a Trinamool candidate from Nandigram in Haldia sub-divisional office. The Chief Minister took part in a 2-km-long road show in Haldia before filing nomination, which also included party state president Subrata Bakshi.
