BJP and JDU have announced seat sharing for Bihar assembly elections. This time in Bihar, BJP will field candidates for 121 seats, while JDU has 122 seats in its account. NDA parties have already made it clear that they will contest these elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, that is, Nitish will be the face of the CM.
BJP has said that anyone who does not consider Nitish Kumar as their leader in the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections will not be part of Bihar NDA.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said these things during a conversation with reporters after the NDA meeting in Patna on Monday.
Sushil Kumar Modi also said that BJP has no confusions in this matter. Regarding the use of the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the election campaign, Sushil Kumar Modi said, “The four parties who are contesting the elections together can only use the photo of the Prime Minister otherwise no one else can.”
Along with Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also addressed journalists.
Speaking to reporters, Nitish Kumar said, “We are working closely with the BJP and will do it further. You will be told that the seats will be divided between the two parties and the rest. We have no misconceptions. We have nothing to do with what others say. We have been working with the BJP and will do so further. Due to Corona, the talks have been delayed. Now we will also inform you about the announcement of the candidate.”
Attacking the LJP, Nitish Kumar said, “Who says what does not matter. Ram Vilas Paswan ji is in poor health, wish him better health but Ram Vilas Paswan does in the Rajya Sabha without the help of JDU went.”
Nitish Kumar said that JDU will give seven of its 122 seats to Jitan Ram Manjhi and BJP will give some of its seats to Mukesh Sahni’s VIP party out of 121 seats.
Both JItan Ram Manjhi and Mukesh Sahni were previously part of the RJD-led alliance, but they both split up and joined the NDA.
Manjhi had already split from the alliance and joined the JDU, but Mukesh Sahni had gone to the middle of anger from the press conference on the day of the grand alliance seats.
Elections will be held on October 28, November 3 and November 7 for a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar. The counting of votes will be done on 10 November.
Nomination for 71 seats of the first phase is going on from October 1, which will run till October 8.
