Market Capitalization: The trend of decline in the Indian stock market has been going on for the last few weeks. In such a situation, last week the market value of nine out of the top 10 Sensex companies declined by Rs 2,09,952.26 crore. Hindustan Unilever and Reliance Industries suffered the most loss. Apart from the two big companies, the market cap of TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, ITC and LIC also decreased. During this period, among the top 10 Sensex companies, only HDFC Bank’s market cap increased.
These companies caused losses
Last week, the market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever declined by Rs 44,195.81 crore to Rs 5,93,870.94 crore. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 41,994.54 crore to Rs 17,96,726.60 crore. The market cap of State Bank of India (SBI) declined by Rs 35,117.72 crore to Rs 6,96,655.84 crore, while the market cap of Bharti Airtel declined by Rs 24,108.72 crore to Rs 9,47,598.89 crore.

During this period, the market cap of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) decreased by Rs 23,137.67 crore and it came to Rs 14,68,183.73 crore. The market capitalization of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) declined by Rs 19,797.24 crore to Rs 5,71,621.67 crore. Infosys’ market capitalization declined by Rs 10,629.49 crore to Rs 7,69,496.61 crore. The market capitalization of ITC fell by Rs 5,690.96 crore to Rs 6,02,991.33 crore and that of ICICI Bank fell by Rs 5,280.11 crore to Rs 8,84,911.27 crore.
HDFC Bank made profit
Contrary to this trend, the market value of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 46,891.13 crore to reach Rs 13,29,739.43 crore. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex lost 1,822.46 points or 2.24 percent, while the Nifty lost 673.25 points or 2.70 percent.

Reliance Industries remains on top in market cap
Reliance Industries remained at the first position in the list of top 10 companies. After that, TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and LIC were ranked respectively.
