The Civil Police of Amazonas intensified, this Monday (4), investigations into the disappearance of Paul Staehle, an American who participated in the reality show “90 Days to Get Married”. This Sunday (3), firefighters reinforced their searches in the Amazon region, after receiving a message from Staehle last week. The information is from G1.
The drama began on Thursday (31), when he sent messages to his family, reporting that he was lost in the Amazon rainforest. His mother, Edna Staehle, gave details to the American press the next day. Staehle, who had been traveling in Brazil since the end of July, was reported missing by the Specialized Police Station for Crimes against Tourists (DECCT), located in Manaus, on Saturday (2).
This Monday, the Amazonas Fire Department reported that it was triggered after a friend of Paul received information about his supposed location. “At the time, the tourist had sent a location to the cell phone of a friend, who contacted the Civil Police reporting his disappearance”, reported the corporation, pointing out that the location indicated that Paul was on a small island in the Rio Negro. .
Teams specialized in search and rescue in a jungle environment were sent to the location on Sunday (3) to carry out searches. However, to date, Staehle has not been found.
Staehle became known for his participation in the television program “90 Dias para Casar”, in which he became involved with Amazonian Karine Martins. The couple, who initially communicated through an online translator due to language barriers, got married in November 2017. They are currently the parents of two children.
