On the occasion of the 2024 edition of Lucca Comics & Games, the historic video game series “The Legend of Zelda” will be the protagonist of a particular initiative by Nintendo and Trenitalia Regionale. A regional train in a special livery, inspired by the chapter “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” for Switch, will reach the city of Lucca to offer visitors a unique experience in the Italian panorama. After a series of stops that crossed several Italian cities, including Rome and Naples, this celebratory convoy will stop on October 30th at platform 1 of Lucca station, from 10:00 to 14:00, where it can be visited for free.
The initiative intends to pay homage to a franchise that has profoundly marked gaming culture, involving generations of fans all over the world. The train, with its iconic decoration, recalls the aesthetics of the kingdom of Hyrule and allows you to immerse yourself in the themes and imagery that characterize “The Legend of Zelda”. On platform 1, the first 150 visitors who present a ticket reserved for free via dedicated links will have the opportunity to meet two important content creators: Davide Vix, from 10:00 to 11:30, and PlayerInside, from 11:30 to 13:00 . Guests will also be able to receive limited edition gadgets, created specifically for this event.
In parallel with the exhibition at the station, Nintendo will be present with a dedicated area within the festival. The usual Piazza Bernardini will in fact host the Italian Nintendo Pop-Up Store, new this year, where fans will be able to purchase exclusive products linked to the brand’s most iconic characters and worlds. Furthermore, the Garden of the Observants will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the “Pikmin” universe, thanks to interactive activities focused on the titles “Pikmin 4” and “Pikmin Bloom”.
