YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha. It is noteworthy that Reddy had already announced his retirement from politics yesterday.
Vijaysai Reddy wrote in a post shared on social media that ‘I am not joining any political party. I have not resigned for any political gain, position or financial gain. This is my completely personal decision. There is no pressure or influence from anyone on me for this.
Reddy expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their support during his tenure as MP. He said, ‘Special thanks to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for encouraging me for almost 9 years, giving me immense strength and courage and giving me recognition in the Telugu states.’
