Lucknow
Yogi Adityanath. Chief Minister of UP and Goraksha Peethadheeshwar. CM Yogi Adityanath, who is considered to be the bright face of Hindutva, is seen breaking stereotypes from time to time. Its precedent was also seen during the cabinet expansion, when he administered the oath of his ministers in Pitrupaksha. During the last four and a half years, there have been many such occasions when Yogi has stepped out of the box.

A few months before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi cabinet has expanded. Seven new faces have got a place in this expansion. Yogi’s new ministers took oath on Sunday. The swearing-in was held at the Raj Bhavan.

Ministers took oath in Pitru Paksha
It is said that no new work is started from Pitru Paksha. Doing any auspicious work during Pitru Paksha is prohibited among Hindus. In such a situation, doing new and good work in Pitru Paksha is considered inauspicious, but Yogi administered oath to his new ministers in Pitru Paksha.

Reached Noida as soon as he became CM
This is not the first time that a Yogi has broken superstitions or stereotypes. Even before this, he has been breaking such orthodox traditions. For the first time, he broke the superstition that the chair of the CM who goes to Noida is snatched away.

Yogi went to Noida within 6 months of becoming CM in 2017. He reached Noida on 25 December 2017 and broke the superstition that whoever visits the chief minister loses his chair.

29 years of fear broke the superstition
The superstition about Noida was added when Congress Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh went to Noida on 23 June 1988. The next day the circumstances became such that he had to resign from his post. From here the superstition flourished that whoever goes to Noida loses his chair. After Veer Bahadur Singh, Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Kalyan Singh, Ramprakash Gupta, Rajnath Singh to Akhilesh Yadav became the Chief Minister but Noida kept scaring everyone.

Mayawati had shown her strength
When Mayawati became the Chief Minister for the fourth time with an absolute majority government, she decided to fight the fear of this superstition on 14 August 2011. She went to inaugurate the Dalit Prerna Park built at a cost of about Rs 700 crore in Noida. However, the following year the political situation changed and he lost his chair. People associated it with his going to Noida. Akhilesh Yadav, who came to power with a resounding majority government, kept pressing the button of Noida’s plans from his 5, Kalidas residence in Lucknow.

Food eaten during the Sutak period of lunar eclipse
Yogi reached Varanasi on 31 January 2018, a month after breaking Noida’s superstition. Here he broke another illusion. This was the illusion of not eating during a lunar eclipse or a solar eclipse. On Sant Ravidas Jayanti, after offering prayers in the temple amid the lunar eclipse, Yogi sat in the sangat and took the prasad. The myth that CM Yogi broke in Kashi was about the sutak on the eclipse. No food is taken during the sutak of lunar eclipse. During the eclipse, the CM broke this myth that has been going on for centuries in the Sutak period.

Myth was broken by staying in Agra’s Circuit House
After visiting Noida and Greater Noida yesterday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath broke a big myth in Tajnagri too. CM Yogi stayed at Circuit House in Agra. 16 years before this, Rajnath Singh stayed in the Circuit House as the Chief Minister. Neither Mayawati nor Akhilesh Yadav used to stay in the circuit house here due to the fear of losing the CM’s chair.

In January 2018, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stayed at the Circuit House in Agra. It happened after 16 years when a CM stayed at Circuit House in Agra. Before him, the then Chief Minister Rajnath Singh had stayed at the Circuit House. Mayawati never spent the night in Agra, so Akhilesh always stayed in hotels here.
