The RAU National Conference, the National Association of Administrative Managers of Italian universities, returns from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 November 2024, hosted by the University of Siena, in the splendid and very modern headquarters of the Department of Law, in the heart of the city.
The XXXII RAU Conference will focus on the developments of Artificial Intelligence and the practical consequences in our daily work, trying to provide a “compass” to orient ourselves in a context that changes very rapidly and requires answers and orientation towards results.
The title of the conference is Human touch 2.0: beyond AI in the University of tomorrow. The event will see the participation of prestigious speakers who will address numerous topics, examining both the opportunities and risks, including ethical aspects.
There will be 382 participants from 33 different public and private universities, as well as representatives of the Presidency of the Council, Cineca, Forum PA.
“The conference will explore how to integrate new emerging technologies into decision-making and operational processes, optimizing efficiency without losing sight of the importance of the human factor. I am particularly interested in exploring how AI can be an ally in enhancing human capabilities, rather than replacing them. I conclude with a reflection: AI may perhaps beat a professor at chess, but I doubt it will ever be able to replicate the emotion of a shared discovery, the enthusiasm of a passionate debate or the inspiration that arises from a chance encounter. Let us therefore prepare for a future in which artificial intelligence does not replace, but amplifies human potential.” So Marilena Savino, President Rau.
