Xuan Son: ‘It’s okay, I’m about to eat pho and fried bananas’

He shared: “Basically this is a pretty serious injury: two very large broken pieces, one 3 cm, one 7 cm. We want to help her recover as quickly as possible. Regarding bone injuries, We perform the intramedullary nailing technique without opening the fracture. Basically, it preserves the surgery and does not dislodge the broken pieces. It is not necessary to open the fracture. Therefore, the surgery time is prolonged longer than normal, falls in 1 hour 30 minutes.

The surgical process is checked by ultrasound and CT, ensuring the requirements of surgery, correction and fixation. Up to now, the surgery has been a success. After surgery, the patient will wake up and will be taken back to the room and immediately receive treatment methods. Includes: cold therapy, local massage movement. On January 7, patients can practice moving with crutches or a wheelchair. Then, go to the Vinmec Sports Medicine and Trauma area to practice with specialized equipment.”

Manager Nguyen Van Thien of the Nam Dinh team visited Xuan Son right after he left the operating room. He said the best recovery training plans will be applied.

“Xuan Son has devoted himself to Vietnam and deserves to be honored. Son must return soon and continue to wear the Vietnamese team shirt,” he said. Son thanks Thien and his fans for always being with him during this difficult time. He also sang the Vietnamese national anthem, making his wife laugh. “It’s OK. Son will be back soon,” Xuan Son confidently shared.

Coach Vu Hong Viet and Technical Director Nguyen Trung Kien told Son to eat and drink carefully. The two men told them not to eat pho or banana cake to avoid gaining weight. In response, Son humorously said: “No, pho and banana cake are very delicious.”
