Yesterday’s Xbox Developer_Direct 2025 gave fans an in-depth look at several upcoming features. The event saw the participation of important software houses such as id Software, Compulsion Games and Team NINJA, who presented new gameplay and updates on their upcoming titles. Among the most relevant announcements, the return of a great classic stands out: Ninja Gaiden. Team NINJA, in collaboration with PlatinumGames, has in fact revealed Ninja Gaiden 4, arriving this autumn on Xbox Series of the famous 2008 title, available on Xbox Series
The event also reserved space for DOOM: The Dark Ages, the new chapter of id Software’s shooter saga, due out on May 15, 2025. Compulsion Games instead presented South of Midnight, a third-person action-adventure set in a dark and magical world, available from April 8, 2025. Finally, Sandfall Interactive has revealed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG set in late nineteenth-century fantasy France, arriving on April 24, 2025. All games showcased during the event will be available on Xbox Game Pass from launch day and will support Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to purchase the title once and play it on both Xbox consoles and PC. Furthermore, the release date of Avowed, the long-awaited fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, has been confirmed, scheduled for February 18, 2025.
