New Delhi: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy is reportedly joining the Trinamool Congress. The rumor comes in the wake of a meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The meeting will be held at 3.30 pm at the official residence of TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee in Delhi. The Mamata-Swamy meeting was officially announced by the Trinamool Congress itself.

Swamy, who is on a visit to Kolkata on Tuesday, had a meeting with West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar.

Subramanian Swamy, who is also a regular critic of the Narendra Modi government, was recently expelled from the BJP National Executive Committee. Following this, the BJP changed its name from Twitter Bio.

At the same time, he paid special attention to praising the TMC leader. With this, news came out that he would join the Trinamool Congress.

Swamy had earlier criticized the central government for denying Mamata Banerjee permission to attend the Global Peace Conference in Rome. Former Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar and former MP Keerthi Azad had joined Trinamool yesterday.

Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 5 pm today. According to party officials, the issue will be discussed with the BSF.
