Famous cardiac surgeon and President of Asian Heart Institute Mumbai, Ramakant Panda is as good a doctor as he is a wildlife photographer. The exhibition of his paintings organized at Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai on Wednesday attracted art lovers along with politicians, ministers, police and Bollywood celebrities. Director producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra was so impressed by the photography of Dr. Ramakant Panda that he offered Dr. Panda to do photography in his next film on the camera of NDTV.
The occasion was the unveiling of a table book based on the photography of Doctor Panda, for which Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had specially come to Mumbai. Calling it an extraordinary work, he congratulated Dr. Ramakant Panda. On this occasion, Forest Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister Dilip Walse Patil and former Union Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi were especially present and everyone wholeheartedly appreciated the photography of Dr. Panda.

According to Dr. Panda, he was fond of wildlife photography since childhood, but after 10-15 years, when he saw that the wildlife in India was decreasing and there was a shortage of forest workers, he came to help him. Along with photography, he formed the Asian Wildlife Trust and while coordinating his doctorate, he started spending time in the forests and capturing excellent photographs of wild animals.
According to Doctor Panda, the entire income from the exhibition will be donated to wildlife conservation. Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated the exhibition of pictures drawn by Dr. Ramakant Panda on 21 November. This unique exhibition, which will run till 27th November, has a fascinating collection of 130 mesmerizing photographs, which is attracting wildlife conservationists and art lovers alike.
