WHO claim: China’s vaccine is not effective, after two, third dose should also be asked

In all countries around the world including India, two doses of the vaccine are being taken to prevent infection with the corona virus. But the World Health Organization (WHO) has claimed that people over the age of 60 who have received both doses of the Chinese vaccine should also be given a third dose of the corona vaccine.

The WHO’s Vaccine Advisory recommended giving immunocompromised people an additional dose of protection against all WHO-approved coronavirus infections. The WHO’s Advisory Group of Experts on Strategic Immunization said that people with moderate and severely weakened immune systems should be given an additional dose. These individuals are less likely to respond adequately to the vaccine and have a higher risk of severe COVID-19 disease.

The global health agency said that more than 60 people who have received China’s Sinovac and Sinoform vaccines should be given a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. “An additional third dose of the homologous vaccine to Sinovac and SinoPharm vaccines should be given to people over 60 years of age,” the group said.

SAGE said that when implementing this recommendation, countries should initially aim to give two doses to as many people as possible. After this, the preparation of the third dose should be started and the elderly should first be given its dose. Experts stressed that they are not recommending an additional supposed booster dose for the population at large.
