The door is wide open to enter the AFF Cup 2024 final
The door to the 2024 AFF Cup final has opened wide for the Vietnamese team after a 2-0 victory over Singapore in the first leg of the semi-finals at Jalan Besar. With that advantage and being able to play the second leg at Viet Tri’s home field (Phu Tho), Nguyen Xuan Son and his teammates are expected to complete their goal of reaching the finals.

Coach Kim Sang-sik wants his players to be effective in defense like what was shown in the first leg. Surely the Singapore team will play an active attack in the second leg of the semi-finals to look for opportunities, this will make the Vietnamese team’s defense have to concentrate as much as possible. The coaches also commented that if the Singapore team is engrossed in attacking, they will easily be exposed and Nguyen Xuan Son, Nguyen Tien Linh or Quang Hai and Hoang Duc are ready to “punish”.
