WhatsApp is constantly updated. And, two months after they made the announcement, they are going to incorporate a new tool. They are the channels. It is something similar to what the application’s major competitor, Telegram, already offered, and it allows users a new avenue of information.
With this new feature, we can use WhatsApp to start receive updates from people or even entities that are not on our contact list. But this tool does not allow you to chat with them, simply receive the data that it shares.
What it will allow is react to that information. The messages that are disseminated through these channels will, however, have the possibility of show agreement or disagreement with what is shared. In addition, you can also do surveys.
This feature is not yet available on all devices. As users install new updates, they will be able to access this service. And it can be done through the tab News.
Even though WhatsApp profiles are associated with a phone number in this new modality, both those of the users and those of the channel broadcaster will be protected.
