The feeling of a kidnapped future permeates everything. There is no solution in sight for the major international problems, neither in war scenarios nor in relation to effective combat against climate change or the deterioration of democratic systems. The unease also extends to more micro issues, which, to use a well-worn expression, “worry people.” The proximity of the European elections will make them more visible and, if there is no reaction, will fuel what already seems an inevitable turn towards a considerable increase in the vote for far-right parties. A good example in this regard is the current French discussion regarding violence in schools and institutes.
