Govt launches simplified form for pension:The government has taken an important step to make the lives of senior citizens and pensioners across the country easier. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday, August 30, announced the launch of a unified form by combining 9 different forms. This initiative shows the government’s commitment to simplify the processes for senior citizens, which will enable them to effectively contribute to the vision of a developed India by saving their precious time and preserving their energy and wisdom.
Emphasizing the importance of this reform, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said that the introduction of simplified pension forms and future digital integration with e-HRMS is another milestone of the Pension Department, which has continuously introduced reforms to improve the lives of our senior citizens. This move is not just about convenience, but it is about respecting the time and experience of our elders and ensuring that they can lead a dignified, hassle-free life.
Where will I get the new pension form?
For employees retiring from central government jobs in December 2024 and thereafter, this simplified pension form 6A (simplified form for pension) will be available on the ‘Bhavishya’ or e-HRMS portal. The ‘Bhavishya’ portal is an initiative of the Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare Department. Under this, efforts are being made to ensure that retiring government employees receive all outstanding payments and pension payment orders on the day of retirement. Let us tell you that e-HRMS i.e. Electronic Human Resource Management System contains all the necessary details including the service records of government employees.
How will retiring employees benefit
This new initiative will ease the post-retirement process and provide more transparency and convenience to government employees in the pension process. Through the new system, the approval and process of payment of pension and other retirement benefits can be monitored online. Under this system, e-PPO can also be downloaded. This initiative will help in making the entire pension process paperless.
