Weather Update, IMD forecast: Many parts of North West India are experiencing severe heat at this time. A red alert for heat has been issued for Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. According to the Meteorological Department, extreme heat is expected to continue till May 29 in Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and parts of Maharashtra. The hills of Himachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are also being affected due to this severe heat.
Delhi may get relief after these days
The temperature in Delhi is expected to remain between 44 to 48 degrees Celsius today. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 48 degrees Celsius and the minimum 29 degrees. Sometimes dusty winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour during the day. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heat in the National Capital Region till Thursday. Heat wave is expected in most places for the next 3 days. The scorching sun can cause trouble even if the sky is clear. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no relief from heat wave in Delhi till May 30. However, after May 30, the intensity of the heat wave will gradually decrease. After this, there may be slight relief from the heat.

Rajasthan is in bad shape due to severe heat
The scorching heat in Rajasthan has increased the troubles of the people. The temperature in many parts of the state is above 50 degrees. Similar temperatures are expected to remain in the state for the next 3-4 days, so a red alert has been issued. The mercury reached 50 degrees in Barmer and Phalodi. Red alert for heat wave has been issued in many cities including Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur. Orange alert has been issued in Jaipur, Jhalawar, Kota. In view of the possibility of heat wave in Akola district of Maharashtra, Section 144 has been imposed, prohibiting public functions on May 31. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is expected to rise by 5 to 7 degrees in some parts of Jharkhand.

The condition of the rest of the country including UP
According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury is expected to remain high for the next few days. During this time, there will be no significant change in the temperature. However, there is a possibility of a slight drop in it. On May 28, i.e. today, heatwaves and hot winds are expected in western UP, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. However, the heatwave is expected to subside gradually. The Meteorological Department has expressed hope that by May 30, some parts of UP may also receive light rain. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in some areas of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. The mercury may decrease in most areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Which may provide relief to the people.
Chances of rain in these places
Due to the storm in Bangladesh and West Bengal, rain is also expected in many parts of the country. According to Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, Bangladesh and Northeast India are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains at some places with moderate rain and thunderstorms. Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to receive moderate rain and thunderstorms with some heavy to very heavy rains. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal and Sikkim may receive light to moderate rains. Apart from Bihar, Jharkhand and North Odisha, light rain is also possible in Konkan and Goa, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. The maximum temperature of Gujarat and Rajasthan may fall further.
