New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah replied to the discussion on the Constitution in Rajya Sabha. During this, Shah said that we are proud of the Constitution. Our democracy is deep into hell. He also said that no one should think that our Constitution is a copy of the constitutions of other countries, we have taken good things from other constitutions, but have not left our traditions. He said that images of Geeta and Ramayana are present in the Constitution.

Many countries around us also became independent and new beginnings began. But many times democracy did not succeed there. Today our democracy has reached the depths of hell. The people of this country have done the work of shattering the ego of many dictators in a democratic way…”

I want to tell that the provision for amendment in the Constitution is in Article 368…BJP ruled for 16 years and we made 22 changes in the Constitution. ..Congress ruled for 55 years and made 77 changes…”
