The Kremlin on March 14 confirmed that President Putin on the evening of March 13 received American special envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow. Mr. Witkoff came to the Russian capital to transfer detailed information about the results of the US and Ukraine meeting in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 11.3 to discuss the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine.
RT quoted the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said President Putin transferred information to his counterpart from Trump through Mr. Witkoff, and the two leaders could exchange by phone once the White House owner received the message from Mr. Putin.

“When Witkoff brings all information about President Trump, we will determine the time of discussion (between the two US-Russian presidents),” according to Peskov.
Responding to Fox News, US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz on March 14 revealed that the Washington government was “optimistic” after the meeting between President Putin and the Witkoff special envoy.
Regarding Mr. Waltz’s comment, Mr. Peskov said there was a reason to be optimistic carefully and there were many things to do.
