The Kremlin on March 14 confirmed that President Putin on the evening of March 13 received American special envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow. Mr. Witkoff came to the Russian capital to transfer detailed information about the results of the US and Ukraine meeting in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 11.3 to discuss the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine.

RT quoted the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said President Putin transferred information to his counterpart from Trump through Mr. Witkoff, and the two leaders could exchange by phone once the White House owner received the message from Mr. Putin.

“When Witkoff brings all information about President Trump, we will determine the time of discussion (between the two US-Russian presidents),” according to Peskov.

Responding to Fox News, US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz on March 14 revealed that the Washington government was “optimistic” after the meeting between President Putin and the Witkoff special envoy.

Regarding Mr. Waltz’s comment, Mr. Peskov said there was a reason to be optimistic carefully and there were many things to do.

Mr. Trump wanted Putin to forgive the Ukrainian troops in Kursk

In a post on social networks Truth Soical, President Trump said that he urged his Russian counterpart to forgive the Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region.

Mr. Trump appreciated the meeting in Moscow between the special envoy and President Putin, adding that there was a very good opportunity to end the conflict.

According to the White House owner, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are in Russia’s siege in Kursk.

“I strongly ask President Putin to forgive them,” Trump said.

Answering Mr. Trump, Putin said that he would ensure his life for Ukrainian units in Kursk if they surrender.

Military analysts said the Ukrainian forces in Kursk were almost cutting off the curve after constantly losing the territory that had been controlled here.

However, the Kyiv government army rejected the surrounded information, adding that the units here have improved the position in Kursk.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Mr. Trump himself has not talked to Mr. Putin about the details of the ceasefire proposal, according to AFP.

After a meeting with Mr. Trump at the White House on March 13, the Secretary -General of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) Mark Rutte confirmed the ability to admit Ukraine as a member who has not been considered in the current period.

Any security guarantee for Kyiv will be discussed after Ukraine and Russia signed a conclusion or a ceasefire.

Ukraine lost the advantage Kursk

While attempting to persuade Russia at the ongoing negotiation table, the Russian Defense Ministry on March 14 announced that he regained Goncharovka, the village in Kursk previously controlled by Ukraine troops.
