Virat Kohli’s sting played in Perth, scored 81st international century
Virat Kohli, who is called the life of the Indian cricket team, has done wonders on Australian soil. Virat Kohli has scored his 81st international century in the second innings of the Test match being played against Australia in Perth. Virat Kohli scored the 81st century of his international career in 143 balls. During this, he hit 8 fours and 2 sixes in 143 balls. Kohli along with Washington Sundar made a partnership of 89 runs for the sixth wicket while he added 77 unbeaten runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Kohli’s brilliant performance has taken him closer to Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time record of 100 international centuries. The Indian star has so far scored 9,145 runs in 119 Test matches at an average of 48.13, and this latest century adds another chapter to his illustrious career.
When Kohli was returning to the pavilion after scoring a century, Adam Gilchrist talked to him and asked him about the century. In response to this, Kohli said, “Anushka has stood by me all the time. So she knows what goes on in my mind. She knows what I think when I am not playing and what I think when I make a mistake. I want to contribute to the team. I am not a player who just wants to be in the team.” He said, “It feels great to score a century. The fact that Anushka is here on this occasion has made this century more special.”
