Glenn Maxwell remained unbeaten on 40 off 18 balls as RCB registered a win with eight balls to spare.
With this win at the Wankhede Stadium, RCB are fourth in the table with 16 points but will have to wait for the outcome of the match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. If Delhi loses, RCB will reach the playoffs.
