Questions are being raised about Kohli’s form but Raj Kumar feels it is unnecessary as he is scoring runs.
Rajkumar said, ‘I think those who are questioning his form should look at his figures. After seeing them, he will not be able to criticize them. The century is not being scored but he has scored 70 centuries. People should feel it.’
He said, ‘To be honest, he is playing well and will play a big innings soon. He is very positive and comfortable and we will get to see a bigger innings from him very soon.
Raj Kumar is also the coach of the Delhi team and is currently in Guwahati with the Ranji Trophy team. Like Kohli, Yash Dhull, who hails from West Delhi, has been included in the Delhi team for the first time after leading India to the title win in the Under-19 World Cup.
The 19-year-old may not have played red ball in a long time but Rajkumar feels he is up to the challenge. He may get a chance to open the innings in the first match of Delhi on Thursday.
Referring to his century against Australia, Raj Kumar said, “He is an extraordinary talent, he has shown it in the semi-final against Australia.” He is the future player for India.
