The Amazon driver who was attacked by two alleged racists while delivering a package in Houston, Texasis considering filing a civil lawsuit following the altercation.
Jamaiya Miller asked for help on social media to get legal advice in order to advance their case against two residents at “The Belle Meade” luxury apartment complex in River Oaks.
“I am looking for legal advice or any cluebecause I plan to continue with this civilly,” the woman announced on Tiktok.

The incident was reported on December 16.
That day, one of the women let her in and when she reached the floor where she was supposed to deliver the package, she The female told him that he was not supposed to be there.. Next, the other resident approached her, and at that moment they began to attack her.
“We have thieves here and you are a thief!”, one of the women in the video can be heard saying.
Miller replies: “Excuse me, don’t touch me!” However, The other continues groping the Amazon employee and harassing her with her cell phone in hand.
At the same time, the other troublemaker threatens to call security personnel.
“OK, yes, please do that, because she is harassing me,” Miller claims.
“I’m calling security!” the woman shouts.
Speaking to KHOU news, Miller explained that one of the women was hitting her with a cell phone..
“She was hitting me with her cell phone, making all kinds of complaints; and she was also literally preventing me from moving anywhere,” she noted.
“It was the scariest thing because I didn’t know how it was going to end,” he described.
“It seemed like such a wild scene with me, the black woman, with these two rich white ladies.. So honestly, the scariest part was the length of time they were willing to physically attack me,” the victim said.
The doorman finally intervened to control the situation.. At that point, Miller called 911.
Houston police investigate the incident
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
The authorities have not reported whether they have arrested the suspects or whether they will face charges for the events.
The Major Attacks Division is supposed to interview the parties involved and present the case to the district attorney’s office.
Amazon supports employee in her claim
Amazon said it supports the employee in her complaint.
“The events depicted in this video are disturbing.. We are supporting the delivery employee and working with the authorities while they investigate. “We proactively communicate to our Amazon drivers that they are never required to complete a delivery if they feel concerned about their safety,” the company stated to the aforementioned media.
