Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to Apole Hospital. According to hospital sources, his condition is “stable” and he is being kept under observation. The specific reason for his hospitalization has not been disclosed.
BJP spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao shared the news on Twitter, in which he prayed for Advani’s speedy and full recovery: “I pray for a good, healthy recovery for our greatest leader, Shri LK Advani because He is admitted in Apollo Hospital, Delhi.”
Born on November 8, 1927 in Karachi, Advani started his political career by joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1942. A key architect of the BJP’s growth, he served as national president for the longest period.
He held the post of Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in the NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
