More than six lakh people were vaccinated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. This is the second day in a row that the daily vaccination has crossed 5 lakh. The vaccine was given to 5.60 lakh people last day. The first dose of vaccination for people over 60 years of age is in progress. If anyone still needs to be vaccinated in this category, they should contact the nearest health worker as soon as possible.
The state has received 2,91,080 dosage shield vaccines today. Thiruvananthapuram 98,560, Ernakulam 1,14,590 and Kozhikode 77,930 were available for dose vaccine.
There were 1837 vaccination centers, including 1,478 government centers and 359 private centers. So far, a total of 2,39,22,426 people in the state have been vaccinated with one or two doses. Of these, 1,72,66,344 were given the first dose and 66,56,082 were given the second dose.
According to the estimated population of Kerala in 2021, 48.7 per cent were vaccinated with first dose and 18.79 per cent were vaccinated with second dose. According to the Minister, 60.07 per cent of the population above the age of 18 years has been given the first dose and 23.18 per cent the second dose.
