Senior Taliban officials and the US delegation will discuss the topic of controlling extremist groups in Afghanistan and facilitating the evacuation of foreign citizens from that country. This was announced in an interview with the Associated Press (AP) by one of the representatives of the Taliban movement Syuheil Shahin.
According to him, the talks will take place on October 9 and 10 in Doha.
The parties, among others, will discuss the implementation of previous agreements.
The withdrawal of the foreign contingent from Afghanistan ended on August 31.
The day before, during Friday prayers, an explosion thundered in a Shiite mosque in the Sayyed Abad district of Kunduz province in northeastern Afghanistan. The victims of the terrorist attack, for which the DEASH terrorists claimed responsibility, were 46 people, and another 143 were injured.
This incident was the bloodiest terrorist attack since the withdrawal of a foreign contingent from Afghanistan.
