Uttar Pradesh Upchunav Result 2024 LIVE News: Trends for the by-elections held on 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh have started emerging. In the by-elections held for 9 seats, BJP is ahead on 7 seats. Whereas Samajwadi Party is ahead on 2 seats. Voting was held on November 20 for by-elections on a total of 9 assembly seats. The 9 seats for which results are about to be announced include Karhal, Katehari, Meerapur, Sisamau, Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Kundarki and Khair assembly seat of Aligarh.
BJP is leading from Khair seat, BJP from Ghaziabad Sadar, BJP from Majhwan, RLD from Mirapur, BJP from Phulpur. Whereas on Karhal seat the candidates are going back and forth. While SP is leading in Kundarki, SP is leading in Sisamau.
Counting of votes in 32 rounds in Phulpur and Majhwan
A total of 90 candidates are in the fray in nine assembly constituencies during the by-elections, out of which 11 are women candidates. Counting of votes will be completed in minimum 20 rounds in Sisamau and maximum 32 rounds in Kundarki, Karhal, Phulpur and Majhwan. Three-tier security arrangements have been made to protect the counting venue. Counting of votes is going on in nine districts of Uttar Pradesh, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Ambedkar Nagar and Mirzapur.
