The 23rd Ukraine-European Union summit will take place in Kiev on Tuesday, October 12, the presidential press service reports.
The event will be chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the European Council Charles Michel and Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
The leaders will discuss the achievements and prospects of interaction between Ukraine and the EU in the implementation of the Association Agreement, a deep and comprehensive free trade zone, ensuring energy security and deepening sectoral cooperation.
On the agenda are also the problems of cooperation in the field of security and defense, the development of the situation in the Donbass and in the occupied Crimea.
Within the framework of the summit, it is planned to sign a number of agreements between Ukraine and the European Union.
A joint statement will be adopted based on the results of the summit.
