London. Due to the fears of a third wave of corona virus worldwide, experts have advised to start vaccination among children early. Meanwhile, the British government says it is preparing to vaccinate 12-15 year olds. However, the country’s Vaccine Advisory Committee has not yet approved this campaign.

Schools are due to open in September and the already high corona virus infection rate in the UK is expected to increase. Right now people above the age of 16 are being vaccinated here. Children between the ages of 12 and 15 are also being vaccinated who have a pre-existing disease or live with adults who are at higher risk of contracting the infection.

Two vaccines approved for children

Britain’s drug regulator has approved the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for children aged 12-15, but the policy-making Joint Committee on Immunization has not yet given the green light. In the United States, Canada and many European countries, 12-year-olds are vaccinated.
