UK: Farmers’ protests have been going on for the past two years in India. They have been growing from time to time. During the farmer movement, we see tractors running on the streets of large cities in India. Now tractors have left Britain’s farms on the roads of cities like London. Farmers from Kent have come to London with their tractors to protest against changes in the heritage tax and invade the capital. From April 2026, a 20 percent tax on agricultural property, which is worth more than one million pounds, is now taxed. In the past it had a tax free. Britain farmers oppose this. Hundreds of farmers in London on Monday took their tractors in the heart of the British capital and appeared to be an extraordinary protest against the legacy tax proposed by the Labor government.

Why are farmers protesting?
Many farmers are worried that this tax will be destroyed by family farms. Farmers fear that families will sell their land to pay taxes. The protest was held with parliamentary debate over the e-Petition that more than 148,000 people signed online seeking tax relief for working farms. Reform UK Party leader Nigel Faraj has called for the abolition of all heritage taxes to support the farmers’ movement. However, managers are away from Faraj. They insisted that their protest was not politics and only focused on getting tax relief for British agriculture.

The government is not ready to fall back
Despite the rising pressure, the Labor Party upheld this policy. It argued that taxes were needed to continue providing public services. But farmers have warned that such policies can lead to food shortages, increase dependence on imported agricultural goods and damage Britain’s self -sufficiency. Over the past year, agricultural workers in India, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, Belgium and Greece have staged such mass protests. The roads were blocked. They have heard their complaints targeting government buildings.
