Uniform Civil Code UCC in Uttarakhand: The Congress has expressed displeasure over the implementation of Uniform Civil Code i.e. Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand. The party described the BJP-RSS conspiracy behind the implementation of UCC in the state. Earlier in an event held in Dehradun on Monday Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the UCC Rules Manual and a portal for it. He said that the continuous stream of equality has flowed from Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code Act.
UCC is part of BJP-RSS conspiracy: Karan Mahra
Uttarakhand Congress President Karan Mahra via post on X The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have been accused of conspiracy to implement UCC. The Congress says that there are many such sections in the UCC which are necessary to pass from both houses of Parliament.

The Congress has raised the question why the Central Government has not implemented the UCC, while it is being implemented in Uttarakhand. The Congress says that the UCC should be implemented in the whole country, not only in Uttarakhand. He has alleged that BJP is using Uttarakhand as a laboratory. Commenting on UCC, Uttarakhand Congress opposed the part of the law that came into force in the state from today. He has said to agitate against it in the entire state.
