UAE and Turkey step up economic cooperation – minister

Economic ties between the UAE and Turkey are steadily developing and the two countries can create new partnerships and cooperation mechanisms in various areas of trade and investment.

This was stated by the head of the UAE Ministry of Economy, Abdullah bin Tuk al-Mari, at a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Mush in Dubai, the official UAE news agency WAM reported. The talks between the heads of departments took place at the end of the meeting of the Turkey-UAE Joint Economic Commission.

He noted that the UAE and Turkey maintain close partnerships in the field of economy, trade and investment.

“Today we are starting a new phase of sustainable economic partnership between our two countries. It will cover all aspects of economic cooperation, “Al-Mari said.

The minister added that in the coming period, both countries in their relations will “rely on the progress achieved in the direction of expanding trade and investment ties.”

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Turkey on an official visit on Wednesday, November 24.

The visit of the Crown Prince was organized at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Liaison Office of the Presidential Administration of Turkey reports.

At the talks in Ankara, it is planned to consider the state and prospects of cooperation between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). An exchange of views will take place on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
