Tyson Fury retains title by knocking out Deontay Wilder

The third match, which was the scene of great contention between the two boxers, was held in Las Vegas, USA.

Fury, who started the fight well, could not knock out his opponent in the third round, although he dropped it. This time, although 35-year-old Wilder knocked down Fury twice in the fourth round, the British boxer managed to get back on his feet.

Taking the lead again in the fight, Fury knocked Wilder down once again in the 10th round, but his opponent stood up. Fury, 33, won the match this time by knocking out his opponent after his hard punch in the 11th round.

The two boxers first met on December 2, 2018, and the fight ended in a draw. Fury won the second match on February 23, 2020 by technical knockout in the 7th round, becoming the new owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt. The third match, which was planned to be held on July 24, was postponed due to Tyson Fury’s new type of coronavirus (Covid-19).

With this win, Fury reached his 31st win in his 32nd game. The boxer, nicknamed the “Gypsy King”, had his only draw in his career against Wilder. Wilder, who lost to Fury for the second time in a row, has 42 wins and 1 draw in 45 games.
