Members of the governments of Austria, Denmark, Germany and Greece held an online meeting with representatives of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, discussing the current situation in Afghanistan.
According to a statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, along with political events, the parties considered issues of assistance to refugees and humanitarian assistance to the Afghan population.
Representatives of the Turkmen side called on international partners “to search for mutually acceptable ways to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.”
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue.
Earlier, the head of the European Council Charles Michel also discussed the problem of refugees with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
