Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls on his fellow citizens to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Turkish Head of State delivered a speech at a ceremony on Monday in Ankara.
He noted that face-to-face teaching has continued in Turkey for five weeks, without major problems.
“Our ministries of education and health are taking all necessary precautions,” Erdogan said. “We see that parents are making efforts too. We welcome this consensus and cooperation. overcome this period. We will be quiet in winter, if the vaccination rate rises quickly. Otherwise, with the temperature drop, we will not be able to avoid problems. “
In this context, the President welcomed the projects carried out to improve conditions in certain categories of education, including vocational schools.
“Thanks to the current project, we have made an investment of 1 billion Turkish liras [environ 110 millions de dollars] to strengthen vocational training, he explained. We have improved the labs and workshops in these schools. “
Thus, the President also praised the success of students graduating from vocational schools in national university competitions.
Erdogan said new regulations are underway to ensure these students can find jobs as quickly as possible.
