Turkish human rights defenders help orphans in Palestine

The Foundation for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Aid of Turkey (İHH) has distributed school supplies to 350 orphans in the Gaza Strip.

IHH representative for Gaza, Mohammed al-Shurefa, told Anadolu agency about this.

According to him, a new academic year has begun in the blocked Gaza Strip.

In this regard, the Turkish foundation has organized the distribution of new school supplies and backpacks to 350 orphans in Gaza. In this way, İHH is trying to alleviate the burden of needy families in the Israeli-blocked Palestinian enclave.

The İHH stressed that the organization continues to make efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to those in need in Palestine.

Since 2006, Israel has been blockading the Gaza Strip, where about 2 million Palestinians live, periodically striking the territory of the exclave.
